Newsletter privacy notice
Version: privacy-v1 · 11 August 2026
This notice explains how information submitted through The People's Register newsletter form is used for the opt-in newsletter and related public updates.
Information collected
We collect your email address, optional first name, language preference, consent source and timestamp, and limited campaign-source values included in the signup link.
Purpose
The information is used to confirm your subscription, deliver the updates you requested, manage preferences, maintain suppression records, protect the form from abuse, and measure programme performance in aggregate.
Service providers
Brevo provides contact management and email delivery. Netlify hosts the website and server-side signup function. Digital Origin provides technical implementation for the publication.
Your choices
Every newsletter provides preference and unsubscribe controls. Unsubscribe and complaint records may be retained as suppression evidence so that future imports do not accidentally resume sending.
Sensitive inferences
We do not use opens, clicks, device information, age, location or browsing activity to infer an individual's voting intention or political beliefs.
Contact
For newsletter privacy queries during the demonstration, contact peoplesregister.newsletter@gmail.com. The final authorised organisational privacy contact and physical address must be confirmed before production launch.
This demonstration notice must receive owner and POPIA review before production use.
